Got a job with Mondavi winery for the summer. Sounds like fun.
Interviewed today (via phone) with Genentech for a better position. It is unlikely that they would hire me, but it would be awesome. I'm staying positive. I think the interview went well.

I'm a Harvest Lab Technician. I will be checking tannin, CO2, and sulfur levels in the must samples sent in from the field and barrels. Plus, other things. It is new, interesting, and different. Sounds like fun.

Nah, no husky carnage. Yet. I'll keep you informed. ;)

That sounds pretty interesting. It'll definitely be different from working in a micro lab. And do workers get free wine? I just had to ask. XD

Yes. :D

When I interviewed, I even got to go to the expensive tasting room and try some of their best wines for free.

We even get to sample batches on the job.
