Yeah I mean the article is from Feb 1 but like come onnnn man you were only behind by 50 delegates as of Tuesday. Stuff like this can really sway the moderate vote and this is exactly why I worry about Bernie being a leader in such a divisive time.
I feel like the most controversial part of that for most of America is the idea that we would use legal weed as a form of restorative justice to the communities most impacted by draconian marijuana laws- and that American racism would be the real sticking point rather than any real aversion to legalization.
Anyway my parents’ plan to peace out if the Beast is re-elected looks better and better every day- sure wishing I’d planned my citizenships better. My dad is currently comparing costs/benefits of buying in Cabo versus Malaga and I’m over here twiddling my thumbs wondering if I’ll have to make good on my mother’s constant pledge from my childhood, to learn to perform abortions as a safeguard for once Roe v Wade is overturned and abortion is criminalized.
Yeah the America that is against legalized weed is clueless about the ties to racism and just think its another step in a lawless, untraditional direction. Or they are just racist.
The war on abortion is so scary to me and I care about that issue so much and that's why it's so disappointing to not have someone who can reach across the aisle even a little bit. Big things are at stake and this is part of why he has been such an ineffective Senator for so long. I want someone with his values who is actually going be able to bring two parties together so we can actually start progressing again instead of continuing to dig our heels in on both sides.
America should just skip the next civil war and go ahead and divide up into different countries already. We're just continuing to grow further and further apart its so disheartening. The future blows.
