we went on an adventure to krispy kreme and watched doughnuts being made, thai garden for dinner, i had drunken man noodles, picked off the chicken and made andrew eat the rest, & bacca for dessert, tirimisu! it was just silly things that made me smile like how cute his girlfriend is and how big he smiled when he saw me, not to mention the elephant i was promised for my birthday.

You! I got your mail today and you should see the smile on my face.

I may have fallen for Bukowski all over again. That may be the single most perfect thing I have ever read by him - where is it from?!

You are too lovely for words.

FINALLY! I was beginning to think it got lost in the mail or something.

Oh God, I've never stopped loving Bukowski. He's the air I breathe and the dreams I sleep. The quote, if I'm remembering correctly, is from a poem called 'what we need' from one of his newer books, his post-mortem books, is that the correct word?, << Open All Night >> that I told you I was reading. I will have to send you the whole poem if I can find it again.

Oh, you.

hehe posthumous?

Yes, it was from 'what we need' - I was going to be really cheesy in the first comment and say IT WAS WHAT I NEEDED! but I decided against it, haha.

The woman who gets my mail hasn't been around for a while, so she might have received it aaages ago and not told me about it. Or, you know, the postal service in my country could be a thing of pure evil.

i don't think it's from a poem, or if it is, i'm not certain which one. it was the introduction to one of her books, vita nova.
