Swifts

(always flying, always moving/sound so harsh against the air but look so beautiful in it/metaphors I can't quite grasp)

Swallows

(good luck)

Starlings

(imitators)

(I have no idea why they're all 's'-es)

Birds and you,
my heart couldn't beat any bigger.

a flock of swifts
a flight of swallows
a murmuration of starlings

Chickadees their cute and I love the way they fly. In Russian they are called Sinichka which is fun to say.

oceanfloors March 24 2006, 03:06:33 UTC
how do you pronounce that? sinichka i mean. i think russian is a beautiful language, my french teacher speaks it & i'd like to learn one day. are you fluent?

Reply

shadowfayrie March 24 2006, 03:33:05 UTC
I'm not fluent I wish I was though. I know things like good morning, good afernoon, hello, but I'm no were near fluent yet. I know because I have friends who speak Russian and they told me. It sounds like sin-itch-ka (I hope that makes sense) if I had an audio sample I'd upload cause its much easier to understand that way.

i'm getting an owl tattoed on my arm

Reply

oceanfloors March 24 2006, 03:08:37 UTC
oh! i was at this little boutique the other day and there was this owl necklace and the owl was the size of my hand with a body that shook and huge eyes and it reminded me of you and i wanted to buy it so badly but did not have the $2567687 for it. i still think about that owl and how wonderful it would have felt around my neck.

what kind of an owl on your arm and where and i can't wait.

i see owl trinkets everywhere, and i want to buy all of them, but i'm out of money and out of space to put them in my bedroom.

i don't know where exactly, but i'll show you the owl when i finish drawing it.

i love owl trinkets, i think they are the best kind. no one makes bower bird trinkets =[ ( but i suppose they are in everything blue and shiny and things good for bower-ing, so maybe that is enough. )

i cannot wait. you will have to draw me something one day. i made a collage for you today, actually. it's not very pretty, but i like it =]
