YAY for the Muse inspiring you!

Cara knows he doesn't truly understand who Kahlan is. He can be strangely blind to the truth that's right in front of him, seeing only what he wants to see.

He's too obstinate, too used to getting his own way.

That right there truly captures what I felt when I watched the show. You nailed it right on the head. Yes, Richard was a good guy, but he was obstinate and narrow-sighted, and no, he didn't truly understand Kahlan and her reponsibilities. Watching the relationship that grew between Kahlan and Cara is made the show.

You've done a wonderful job capturing the essence of each character. WELL DONE!! *G*

I'm back to just say...keep writing...you just get them, and I loved the pace...very realistic to both their personalities and the books. I need these 2 in my reading life. Feed your muse and tell her we need more when you both are ready.

And thanks. Glad you felt like I nailed the issue with Richard...it just always struck me that he didn't really understand what Kahlan's responsibilities would be once their quest was over and she returned to her full duties. And he is kinda stubborn...though so are Cara and Kahlan :).

Glad you thought I did a good job with the characters...I was a little worried Cara might be too...er...patient here ;).

Good story and yeah, Richard wouldn't know what to do with himself in Aydindril, playing second fiddle to Kahlan.

Thanks! Glad you thought it nailed the problem with the K/R relationship. One of my issues with trying to write in this fandom has been figuring out an honorable way to get past the canon K/R relationship. Glad this worked for you.
