I climbed a mountain today. Like, literally, reached the snow on top. It was one of the Andes. The hike was the hardest thing I've ever done and I felt like I was going to die, but now I can say I've climbed one of the Andes mountains so I guess that's cool. I'll post the pictures eventually ( Read more... )

I think she might actually have an internship with that paper. But the fact that she's here is actually really big news. A lot of kids on the program (including myself) have been asked by random people we don't know (taxi drivers, store clerks, etc.) if we know "La nieta de John McCain", even though they don't know that we're in the same program, just that we're both from the US.

baby baby girl,

You're so cute! I'm so proud of you for climbing that mountain!!
I couldn't do it. That's for sure lol.

Although I would like to go camping in the mountains.
Climb it little by little each day.
That'd be cool.

Hah, thanks, that's what I kept telling myself, that at least I'd have a story to tell.

Go mountain climbing!

On a completely unrelated note, last night I had a dream that I was at a family function of some sort, which my cousin Lydia was unable to attend because...she was out on a shamanic quest with Shaman Joe. I was so excited to find someone who knew of Shaman Joe, and kept trying to explain to everybody how he made your dad look for shamanic rocks or something, and how your brother was crazy about him, that I woke myself up. The end.

I sort of went mountain climbing this weekend? Only in the sense that I went hiking, and argentines are crazy, so during the hikes our guides would make us climb up things that I'm pretty sure in the states they'd make you sign a waiver for and put you in a harness and belay system.

And it's sort of creepy and strange that you dreamed about Shaman Joe. I actually talked about him quite a bit this weekend, which is odd (I usually don't).
