Argh...somebody stole my wallet today, and hilariously, yesterday somebody stole my friends' camera. Circumstance #1: my friend was taking a picture (for a project for our program, no less!) and some dude on a bike rode by and grabbed it right out of her hands. Buenos Aires is vaguely chilly, gray, drizzly, and sort of reminds me of winter in Seattle. People talk a LOT here, especially if they don't know you. Also, Athens was really good training. My host family seems really nice, but it's hard to believe that I'll actually be living here, instead of just staying, if you know what I mean.

I keep getting trapped in thought-cycles and I don't know what to do about them. My attempts to correct my frustrations usually just lead to more frustrations. Self-analysis reveals contradictory thoughts and motives. Laziness conquers all. I spend most of my time avoiding situations and thoughts that I know will just lead to a downward spiral ( Read more... )

So hey, Boston does NOT mess around when it comes to fireworks. Maybe they're so serious because of all of that revolution stuff that happened up here, but seriously...those were the best fireworks I've ever seen in my life. We hopped a plane to Amsterdam because it was decently cheap. So now we're in Amsterdam. I never made the Amstel/Amsterdam connection. We're here for about four days and then it's back to Greece. The weather here reminds me of Seattle.

So, can we discuss how happy I am that Eric Trudel gave us the option of doing a short answer final instead of writing the 10-12 page paper? Because I am SO sick of ten page papers, so very done with them.
