Yeah-- you can squeeze every last bit of usefulness out of them. I used them almost exclusively for Source and thought they were great.
For sketching I tend to like pens without the "needle-point"-- more like Pilot or Uniball rolling-ball ends. I know how to control and feather off the ink better with tips like that.
I'd be interested in hearing/seeing more about Source. More pictures? I can't make uniballs work for me at all. Everything I sketch looks to me like I doodled in my notebook during class, just heavy and limp. I'm very hardcore about quill and ink.
