Michael Pollan on food.

This is video #2 ever posted on my LJ, but I found this to be really intriguing. He doesn't argue a doctrine, just a new perspective on eating healthily. I took notes and hope to slowly start using them.

That was pretty cool. I need to give that a listen/watch some time when I'm less tired so it all can actually sink in.

You know, what the Omnivore's Dilemma really says to me is that tryingto fuel our cars with corn is an even more idiotic idea than I thought it was before.

a friend and I got turned away from his overflowingly well-attended talk at the Free Public Library in Philly -- but I never thought to check YouTube since then -- so, thanks very much! I read his "Second Nature" a few years ago, and started but didn't get through "Botany of Desire," and I've been interested in these later books too!! very timely, too, because for the past few weeks the "green committee" [which I'm a part of] at my workplace has been trying to organize getting a farmer's market (or even just 1 stall!) on site for this season. time's running out, tho!! oh well, there's always next season...

No, not at all, because I can't imagine a real person would list Snoop Dogg's "Ego Trippin'" as one of their new favorite albums.
