1) I just got the email of the person I needed to talk to, and therefore in mid-August I will be driving back from VA with a box full of beautiful dahlias for the garden.
I enjoy the cartoons for editors. :-) I certainly have that experience in restaurants. Sometimes it is nice to see a menu in a language you do not speak, just so you can remain ignorant of the spelling and punctuation mistakes you know it must contain.
That's fantastic! Before I got my current job, I used to write & edit arline menus, so menu mistakes always jump right out. I've never yet had the balls to point them out, but I've been seriously tempted by a few particularly awful ones...
So glad you got in touch with the Dahlia guy. They look gorgeous. Funny thing about the menus. We howl when we see how they try to spell menu items in English. I'll send you a few of my favorites. MA
