Mardi Gras was mucho fun! I went with Sam, Rachael, Santi, David, and Jc who was with us 75% of the time. We stayed at Rachael's Dad's house which is in the Lakeview part of New Orleans, it was really nice. We went to parades everyday except for Monday because it rained. We caught so many beads. Val, aren't you just supposed to give up one thing for lent??? I'm sure God appreciates your intentions and stuff, but I don't think you should burn yourself out. Give up sodas OR desserts....Sweetie, don't do both....unless you really think you can handle it. If you can, then go for it. Isn't it a little much though??? You ARE human ya know...and your vow to give up cussing didn't work last year. I think you should gradually work your way up the giving up ladder. It is your decision though. I just don't want you to feel bad later.
