Anyone ever live there? Thoughts? Ideas? Reactions to the place?

I lived there for several years. It's really spread out, requires a 20min drive to get anywhere, and has a slowly dying gay scene (since the younger gay generations move to larger cities like Chicago). Also, rush hour there is murder with the neverending road contruction. I moved away once, moved back when I missed people there, but eventually moved again permanently when I couldn't stand living in the city any longer.

Also, the downtown area dies after 5pm...everyone there lives in the suburbs. (well, 85-90% of the city population does at least)...hence the need for a car.

It's the gateway to the American mid-west. They have a big white arch to prove it. You can go all the way up to the top! Yippie!

But I've never been there though.

Sorry for the non-help.

And going to the top of that gateway can be scurry sometimes with the little cage you go up in though!!!

I live for danger! I'm not afraid of a little height in a cage!

(But I do have a phobia of ketchup.)
