I have always taken pride in the fact that my beliefs, however controversial they may be, are unique and distinctly my own. It's kind of a risk you take by putting your opinions out there, whether it's right or wrong. The fact that this is technically publicly accessible makes it easy for others to do that. But it is most certainly a fair request -- whether or not other people are willing to acquiesce is a different story entirely. I never take any solace in Livejournal... I just use it to keep up with people who maybe I don't talk to as often. For me, it's more of a personal log of my life that I can look back and read on. But it's something different to all of us, and I know I'm most certainly willing to make only relevant comments.
