Expo 2005 is overrated. That's the conclusion I reached after I came back from the place. Back in June, I had read the local newspapers and read of the cool robots and seen the wicked pictures of some of the attractions. When I went there, I went expecting to see those things up close. I visited my other aunt (who lived close to my grandma's senior home) on the third day of arriving in Japan, and what scared me about getting into the car with them was: they never wore seatbelts. During my stay in Japan, I stayed in the country side. If I opened the door of my aunt's house, there was a rice field right across the street. They even had their own small plot of land a few blocks away where they grew vegetables. It's one of those neighborhoods where everyone knows everyone.
