I agree with you about the last scene. Jensen is able to show so much with is eyes - the hurt and anger were so evident then.

I was thinking of something I'm sure I have said and others about Jensen Ackles but I will repeat. I have watched a lot of convention videos recently and it amazes me that the minute Supernatural starts and we see the guys my first thought isn't Yay it's Jensen! but rather Yay! It's Dean! Does that make sense? He just *is* Dean to me.

He just *is* Dean to me.

That's what makes him such a fantastic actor. Any actor that can make you forget "who" he is and just believe that he is the character is just outstanding.

I love Jensen! backnblack01 September 11 2009, 14:14:24 UTC
NObody could ever call an Angel an asshat as well as Dean! The writing for this show never ceases to amaze me! Jensen delivers every sarcastic remark Dean makes with such ease and style.

My fav funny was "Shove it with walnuts!"

My fav scene period was when Cas saved them from Zachoriah. He was in like Superman, shocking Zach that he was alive and kicking. He seemed stronger than ever. To find out divine intervention had taken place chalks one up for the REAL good guys! Even tho this is more of a Misha moment than a Dean moment, it was still my fav scene. So much learned that we didn't know. So much to speculate about!

Dean sure does rock that GED!!!

Oh, I loved it when he called Zach an asshat!!! That was classic. And SO Dean!!!

I totally missed the "shove it with walnuts" line! And I even rewatched the episode. Arg. I'm going to have to watch again tonight.

The scene with Cas showing up was really good. I think the thing that bothered me was that Zach didn't try to fight him or help the angels that were with him. I was happy Misha finally showed up for whimsywinx's sake. ;)

*smishes*

I think Zach was in shock, and also, like most bullies, is actually a bit of a coward.

You are probably right about that...that's the first time we've seen Castiel really fight, so it would be understandable if he was shocked.

(and I just noticed that I have no icons of Castiel. I'm going to have to do something about that)

Like onemaskedchic I kinda think of it as Dean. So my favorite Dean moment last night was when they were at Chuck's and Dean used the marking to make angels go away. The way he spoke of his friend, Cas, made me feel warm and fuzzy, and sad, because Dean was upset Castiel was (at the time) dead.

That was way cool!! I couldn't figure out why his hand was bleeding at first...

Ok, so my question is - the only ones that have used that type of symbol before is Anna and Cas - both angels. So the fact that it worked for Dean - is that because he's a vessel for Michael? Or can any regular human do that?? (and maybe it doesn't matter and I'm just overanalyzing it. :P )

I kinda think anyone can do it, but it's gotta be in blood.

Maybe we only saw Anna and Castiel use it because only angels knew it?

Like you, O, my favorite funny Dean moment was the GED line. But he had so many and Jensen delivered them so well. Kripke does write the best Dean zingers. My second favorite was the peanut butter line.

My favorite dramatic Dean moment was him refusing to give in to Zac. "Yes" was not going to cross those lips.

I like the continuity bits too. Going back to the storage place (I still want to know what/who is in that casket!), recalling John's "save him or kill him" command and Dean referring to the lady on TV as "wavy gravy."

However, my biggest WTH?!?! moment was when the fangirl chick looked at Dean and said "And you....aren't what I expected." Seriously chick?! How the hell could you be disappointed if you walked into a hotel room and saw THAT sitting on the bed. I'd be like "JACKPOT!!" :)

PS Jensen's eyes were GORGEOUS last night! My how I've missed them.

I agree! Who could possibly be disappointed with Dean!

I love it when Kripke writes the episodes. He is so good at mixing a little bit of comedy into the dark stuff.

I wasn't worried that Dean would cave to Zach because then the whole season would have had Dean as the vessel and I knew that wouldn't happen. :P

I love that this show does such a great job with the continuity. When did we hear "wavy gravy" before??? (I'm totally blanking on that!)

Yeah, the chick kinda bothered me...maybe it was Kripke's way of irritating Jensen... ;) I don't know, but I surely wouldn't have said that if I were her.

I'm going to have to rewatch for his eyes...they didn't stand out to me...

There were so many great moments last night! I think my favorite funny Jensen moment was in the storage shed, when Zach showed up, "Oh thank god, the angels are here." ALthough I also loved his delivery of the GED line.

The last scene was probably my favorite for Jensen and Jared, they both played it so well. Jensen perfectly portrayed the hurt and betrayal Dean feels, and the look on Sam's face when Dean said he doesn't trust him. I wanted to hug both of them so much!

Ha! I loved his sarcasm with the "Oh thank god, the angels are here". Jensen completely nailed that.

I know what you mean...both the boys deserved hugs...
