It sounds as though you unwittingly threaten the bejesus out of her. Be gracious and send her a note that is kind and understanding: either she'll be touched and start acting rationally or she'll be too terrified of you to ever again be in the same place you are. Either way is a win! More sensibly, it does sound as though you've done everything right and made the best of a bad situation, other people's crap is not really yours to take responsibility for. Good for you for trying to keep the ex-boyfriend friendship working, though. I have moved continents to escape that sort of effort in the past. I doff my hat!

I can has a question: I need a piano player to accompany a silent film I'm going to screen. It's eighty minutes long. They have to be able to play in an old timey silent movie accpaniment style. And it's possible that they'll need to bring their own keyboard, I don't know if the theatre keeps one available to those who rent the space.

I thought maybe with your theatre or general people connections you might know of someone I could rent out for a couple of hours?
