That reminds me of the "church" that goes to funerals of people who are gay or die in the military and hold up signs that say they deserved it and they're going to burn in hell and things like that. People who claim to be Christian can be extremely cruel, but it tends to be the radical ones that are obsessed with brainwashed ideals. :/
i totally agree with you...makes me think that what karl marx said was true...the one about Religion being the opium of the people...it's okay to have beliefs but if you're already hurting other people or scaring other people then that's just plain wrong...:/
It truthfully is. I think I'm more Angostic in the sense that I think we all share core values no matter the religion and those are what matter at the end of the day. People pick and choose what they want to follow and hurt a lot of others in the process without realizing it. I wish people wouldn't make it such a crux in their lives and attack others for not following "their rules" they decided to pull from it.
wah! same here...i've been thinking i'm agnostic too for some time now...back in college we did a comparative study of the religions and that's when i saw that each religion isn't perfect and each has somewhat of a flaw...some had contradicting laws which was really confusing and ironic..i began thinking but i'm not really an atheist since i still believe and agree with a couple of things from each religion..I totally agree with what you said...people are too devoted to their religion that they don't notice the contradicting laws and ideas..and as you said, they end up hurting people...i just hope that more people realize this...i'm so glad we're on the same page on this one oneesama...hihihi...XP
