Last Friday, 6 kids were gone. That brought my class size down to 16. It was heavenly. Who would have thought my class could be so quiet and work so hard?! Then during French, 3 more left for the resource room. 13 in a class! Wow! Best French class ever! yeah, it was pretty nice. Too bad they're all back today.

Kids sure do love mud. It's been so warm here that all the snow melted and left a yard full of mud. Kids - okay, might as well be honest here, it's almost all boys - play football and purposely fall all over themselves in the mud. Then they come inside and everything is dirty. I fainted last night. I'm still not sure why. I don't think that's a very good sign. It kind of makes me nervous to just drive around after that kind of thing.
Today was busy, but kids had me laughing a lot at various times. As one teacher says, the worst thing about the job is the kids. The best thing about the job is the kids.

I conduct a string ensemble of kids of wildly varying ages and abilities. I have done so for two weeks. I have had less than an hour cumulative practice with these blessed enfants. And tomorrow we are performing in front of the rest of the school as we have our complete dress rehearsal for our Christmas program. Ahhhhhhh!
