The Jesters
New story!!! Well, actually, I started this ages ago, then lost interest then just plain lost it, but now it is found again!
Anywayz, there are two and a half more chapters? parts? that I have finished and have to find the energy to type, which shouldn't take long because I am bored. Anywayz, here it is.
As the sun slowly rose over the kingdom of Rusana the inhabitants began to stir. Merchants’ set-up their shops and servants rushed about with the hope of getting their errands done in time for lunch.
In an old, seemingly abandoned, part of town deep violet eyes opened to the dawn of a new day. A tanned hand rose to block the sun before moving to run through short black hair.
Turning slightly Reiko smiled down at her brother, Sano, who was cuddled into her side. Brushing back his equally dark hair she pressed a kiss to his forehead before stretching lazily, much like a cat. Sighing, Reiko turned towards the bathroom, intent on getting ready for the day ahead of her.
Fifteen minutes later she came out clothed in a dove gray shirt that fell to mid-thigh, bandages around her chest in place beneath it to hide her female features, toweling her hair. Shaking her head, Reiko dropped the towel in the hamper and went to her closet, finger-combing her hair as she went.
Looking through her clothes Reiko decided on a pair of loose black pants and pulled them on under her shirt. A dark gray belt with a silver skull buckle was put on over her shirt diagonally, the buckle low on her left hip.
Next a pair of black leather boots with silver buckles were slipped on her feet, pants pulled loose over them. Weapons, mainly knives, and money were attached to various parts of her person, all but the decoy money bag hidden beneath her clothes.
A black cap, with a jester’s hat design on the brim was pulled down low and tilted to the right so that the design rested where her eye would be. Satisfied that she had everything she needed, Reiko left with a nod to the guard posted outside the door.
Moving through the shadows Reiko made her way to the city full of cheerful people just waiting to be robbed.
