I Saw a Sign...

On the way home today, I saw a sign that made me stop and think...Adversity introduces you to yourself.
Hrmmm...I've been meeting myself a lot lately, and you know what?

I like me.

I met me a long time ago. Now it's just a matter of getting other people to like me enough to stick around.

And as far as those "other" people...it's not that they don't like *you* enough - they don't like *themselves* enough. Possessiveness, jealousy, and insecurity all equal, "I don't like myself. So, I'm gonna make you jump through hoops and put up with a lot of crap to prove how much you love me. 'Cuz I don't like myself, so I'm gonna make you like me enough for both of us."
