I expect I'll have to buy numerous cell phones over the course of my life. Just like I keep buying new computers and other gadgets.

I bought a Sony Ericsson T610 with service from T-Mobile.

Sprint finally released the T608, with a caveat that unlimited data service isn't going to apply. Curiousity: does T-Mobile let you get unlimited GPRS with it? I may give Sprint a hard time to see if they'll let me get the T608 on my existing plan, so I'll be interested to hear your impressions of the 610 after you play with it for a while.

Yeah, I think there's an additional fee for unlimited GPRS, but I didn't really look. GPRS wasn't a factor in my purchase.

I needed:

- Bluetooth support
- Headset
- decent calling plan

That was it.
