Yesterday I finally did something I've been talking about for ages...
It's the kanji character for octopus and I am so in love. Nick and I went out to his parent's house in Fitchburg and had an awesome time getting tattooed by his brother, Justin. He has all his own equipment and set up shop in-house for the afternoon. My heart was racing so fast I thought I was going to pass out, but the anticipation of the pain turned out to be much worse than the pain itself and it was over before I could shed a tear. Then it was Nick's turn and Justin got to work on the golden spiral on his left forearm. He also re-colored the scarab beetle on his left hand which was so faded I had a hard time telling where the black ended and the green began. Everything came out beautifully and I can't wait to get started on the next piece.
