The Sea Shepard thing - as far as I could tell (from their T-shirts) was the firm the festival roadies worked for. They hung their flag up behind any band that didn't have a backdrop (and also alongside the smaller backdrops).
As far as I know the Mera Luna merch stall has always sold any merch for the bands performing. However if it's like WGT the bands have to pay a hefty percentage - to the point where many don't think it's worth it (though they will often try to make sure the cd stalls in the market have any new album they might be pushing).
Thanks for coming to let us know about Dyonisis - unfortunate we missed their set (but at least we got simonsatori and the dog song).
I assumed it was the roadie company as most of the roadies (certainly for the smaller bands (non headliners)) were wearing their T-shirts. If it's a anti whaling campaign then someone may have arranged for the flag and the t-shirts to give them cheap publicity (Becks & Sonic Seducer are the festival sponsors).

Sea Shepard are an anti-whaling campaign, according to Wikipedia. No idea what they're doing sponsoring a music festival.
