By the way, I was thinking of you recently. You'll be proud of me, I gots me a (inexpensive) gun to learn on. :3 I've been visiting the range every week or so when I can afford to, carefully punching little holes in paper.

I'm sure you're not the only one who thinks of me while blasting holes in targets! Is it the Makarov you were talking about getting?

Sadly, I couldn't find a good one, and funds being what they are I had to compromise. It's a nice weapon in itself, though, a Sig Sauer SP2022 in 9mm.

It was going to be that or an FNP-9, and honestly, I kind of wish I'd gone with the FN, but the Sig seems quite capable, reliable, and well made. It took about 300 rounds before it stopped being picky with ammo, and another couple hundred to stop throwing brass at my face and politely spit it off to the side instead, but now it's quite well behaved. It seems accurate too, though while the grouping is as close as my terrible aim can make it, it's also really low and to the left, so I have to get someone to help my newb self with that. I'm assuming it didn't come from the factory with its sights zeroed.
