Del Taco has an Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet kid's meal. It comes with a playfield poster and a bunch of stickers of game sprites. Is that not the strangest Happy Meal theme EVAR!?!? :D
I went to Del Taco to get dinner tonight, and guess what else I got!!?!??! :D It's not really poster-sized, it's about the size of a DVD case and it does come with a mess of game sprite stickers. If you slide me a physical address, I will gladly mail you one. :) I have an old email address for you and I just sent a message there, in case it's still good.
I don't think it is anymore, unfortunately. Huntingspider, I'm guessing. I use gmail these days. j.falcata. Heheh, don't worry about it though. I appreciate the thought anyway. I'm just shocked to find Michele Gagne's awesome designs popping up in such unexpected places. That's pretty cool.
It's kind of an exploration quest style game in the vein of Metroid or Castlevania... zap your way around finding new gadgets to get past obstacles. One of the biggest draws is the distinctive animation and visual design of Michele Gagne. It's worth the price of admission just to see that, but it's a fun and challenging game by itself too.
There's very little text all all, most everything is told through symbols and demonstrations. There's a very basic narrative told effectively through visuals. Gagne can say a lot with a little.
