Apparently we share brains because I literally saw this yesterday and stopped mid-paper-writing to print it out and tape it up above my desk. And your snake analogy is pretty much exactly how I am feeling about the paper that I just turned in this morning...unfortunately it wasn't quite done shedding the old skin when I turned it in, but since I'm working next semester to turn it into my MA thesis, there will be time.
