There's not enough Kisame in this for my taste! D:<

But really, I love how you write him, the raw physicality and implied snark. It's in line with little details like the setting of a textile-producing town and Hidan playing mahjong with stakes being letting Kakuzu cut him, it makes your universe all the richer.

(LOL, I never use this icon anymore.)

I know, but I had to scale it back so it wasn't too much "Akatsuki loves that jail bait".

I am so pleased you like him! Whenever he creeps in it's like my chance to write unrequited partner love stories again and then I finish and realize no one wants to read those love stories except me but I write them anyways. The toe among the mahjong tiles is probably what I am most proud of :3

What about you? Princess slash? XD

Since it was a request I can understand b-b-but why does it always have to be unrequited though? Kisame is not, say, Deidara, Itachi actually gives him the time of day. I think there could be solace seeking goodness here.

LOL what, never, not in fic. I'm trying to remedy my grievous offense during the Secret Santa Exchange, but I feel like I can't even fic anymore. My life = hard.

(Also forgot to say congrats in my prolly unhelpful email...)

Oh I'm sure it's not always unrequited and there is mutual solace seeking goodness, but does Kisame know he's playing second fiddle to the memory of Shisui? Yes. Although I guess I would always write Kisame as being a man with no expectations, who operates mostly on missions and savagery, he's thus never disappointed or expectant of anything and Itachi's kind of that rare thing that passes through his life. TL;DR that is basically why I ship it.

Well if you need prompts or cheering or exercises etc. to get back on the erhm fic-writing horse I shall be here to offer them.

(Thanks :D Don't worry it was very helpful. I just need someone to make sure all the extolled virtues are more-or-less accurate and that I wasn't being signed up for two years of horrible. The reviews that I've heard for emory and some of the other programs are hilariously bad.)

Ah!!! Thank you! <3
I like how you address his complexity without necessarily 'telling' it, sorry if that isn't completely coherent, I'm kinda brain-dead from driving all day, either way though, thank you thank you thank you!

Thanks!! Glad you liked it. I'm sure there's a bunch of grieving angst itachi stories out there, and I started with his POV but it was boring. Madara as this ageless mentor-not-mentor is a much better narrator.
