Oishi sat by a tree, going over everything that went wrong in his match against Rikkai when a shadow fell over him and he expected to see Eiji when he looked up but saw Shishido instead, offering a hand to help him up, a small smile on his face.

Shishido would forever insist that what everyone perceived to be their first kiss was a complete accident; just an accidental brush of lips when they had accidentally bumped into each other during a spur of the moment doubles match at the street tennis courts and was therefore null & void because it was all clearly an accident.

However, Shishido never talked about the soft, sweet kisses they shared whenever they were alone, and neither would Shishido tell anyone just how much he enjoyed them, either; after all, it wasn't anyone's business but theirs.

Shishido expected that he'd have to play against Oishi during Nationals, but he didn't totally expect the slight, small twinge of jealousy when he realized just what the aura was that surrounded the Golden Pair at the end of their match and why Kikumaru had stopped Oishi from returning the last shot.

To Oishi, happiness was locking up the clubhouse after a good practice and finding Shishido leaning against the front gates of Seigaku, calling him 'old man' for taking so long even though Oishi was pretty sure they hadn't made plans for that afternoon.

Oishi had a certain system for his cell phone; text messages throughout the day were usually to and from Shishido, short and to the point, whereas actual phone calls were almost always with Eiji and they'd last hours, talking about everything and nothing at all; he kind of liked it this way.

It was kind of interesting to see the Seigaku vice-captain in action, Shishido reasoned, watching a small group of freshmen scurry to collect balls and another few to run laps as he leaned against the chain link fence, waiting for Oishi to finish telling Momo that his timing was slightly off for his dunk.
