This is just me exploring Yuletide suggested fandoms and fills, and thinking about what I would request or offer to write if I participate. If I do, it's going to be so difficult to choose just six to nominate! I've just finished reading the Yuletide FAQ, as well, and I'm about to stroll over to AO3 and read some of last year's fic.

I think Leverage ended up getting disallowed last year; it seems like there was a lot of controversy about it, because it was right on the edge of "too big" but no one could decide if it should be. This year I think they're using the number of fics that a fandom has on AO3 as the cutoff, though I'm not sure exactly what the specific number is. (I dunno if they're going to stick to that, because I'm sure it'll skew it in really interesting ways - anime/manga is still hugely under-represented on AO3, for example - I know there are some anime/manga fandoms that are huge, like DBZ, that have next to no presence on AO3 - but then, anime has usually tended to be under-represented in Yuletide in general.)

I was looking through the 2009 archive and was surprised to see the Leverage section, because as far as I know, the fandom writing for it is active and prolific. I sometimes have ten or more posts from the comms on my reading list every day! I imagine it won't be in the pot this year.
I'm hoping, if they're using AO3 as a guideline, that they'll take Sailor Moon off the "umbrella" list; the fandom for it has been historically large, but it's just not active - no comms that I can find, no challenges, etc. But I'm sure I'll be happy with it no matter what, anyway.
Completely off-topic: After my calculus exam on Monday, I'm planning on a great big binge-watch of A:tLA. I've got the whole first season and have watched a couple of episodes, but then I get busy and have to put it aside. I'm planning on finishing the whole first season next week and will probably post some squee about it. :D
