though I haven't seen it since I was twelve, this sounds like 'People Under the Stairs' (awesome movie, btw) well, what I remember at least. Is this by any chance a cross with that?

Well, this is certainly a depressing start, but it's also quite intriguing. Why is her mother like that? Is it something as 'simple' as possession, or is it down to some sort of psychotic break? Where will the guys fit in and what will they be able to do?

Can't wait for the next bit!
