Okay. I'm developing a new comic concept. It's going to be kind of steampunk, kind of just fucking with history how I want to. I will probably make a post soon where I pretty much talk it through with myself to work out a few major plot points

Just make friends with some technical people. Or be super polite and ring up people in the know for fact checking. You don't have to know stuff if you can make other people know it for you.

A-AH YEAH! Reading the wiki page, it seems there is actually an argument as to which city to base it off- Chicago, or New York. C. Nolan based his primarily off of Chicago, and Neal Adams did the same. But the animated series had strong hints of New York. And Frank Miller called it New York, and I guess Alan Moore wrote a history for it that greatly parallels New York. And the president of DC comics or whatever said it was NYC. So I dunno!

Seems to me that the NYC is the best ohohoho <3 /not biased at all

The guy who created it just said he got the name out of a phone book, lol.
