I have no idea what was happening, and no way to identify the person who took him. It was probably not his fault.... probably another violent person using him as a means of getting at his friends.

You're probably right. If anything, Phoenix probably upset someone in some form, which is why he's gone...again. He has a terrible perchance for this kidnapping bit, it seems.
