Otto Octavius hasn't been doing that well, lately. And yet, Norman knows better. He knows the Nexus and the goings-on therein, and he knows far too well Otto's spiritual sensitivities. It's not difficult to figure that 'assault by demonic youth' and 'mysterious near-coma' are more than likely connected.

And he wants to fix it. Wants fiercely to fix it, and see his employee (his, damn them all, and he'll make Reilly pay for touching his property) well again. But he has only so much sway in the upper eschelons of the CSA and connected agencies, and supernatural experts and resources are rare anyway. Certainly there are none to be spared on a single aging supervillain on a team 'run' by one of Tony Stark's pet projects.

Norman, obviously, will need to go elsewhere for help.

Just asking the Nexus as a whole, of course, is out -- not only would it be terribly indiscreet, but the security risk would be more than any of his superiors would be pleased with. But there's someone he knows, and that the people of SHIELD and the CSA know (to their chagrin), who he doesn't doubt will have ( ... )
