My Facebook access has been disabled so you may be seeing me a lot more on here :) I used a free airport web terminal over the weekend when I was visiting Auckland, and I think someone managed to get my password from there and use it to pester people via FB chat. There's an ongoing scam where people get messaged that the user (me) is in a bad way ( Read more... )

You're the second person I know that's happened to in a week.

Why are all my friends going to London? Im' jealous!

Also, yeah. Facebook is.. umm.. dodgy. I only keep one because it's useful for event organising or invitations.

It's a pretty flawed system but I liked the games and the interaction with people. I miss being able to post a status update and usually within minutes someone's replied even if it's just with a "like" - I know, it's a shallow and superficial sort of interaction but it made me feel loved :) Still, I'm getting lots more done at work and suspect I'll be off the computer more at home too, which can only be a good thing.

You're also the second person this week for me too. A friend in LA had EXACTLY the same thing happen. I just mentioned it to my Mum, and apparently there was something on telly about it last night. :/
I have a FB too, but I don't like it nearly as much as LJ .. I just don't get the attraction.

Yeah, I think it probably comes in waves and I was one of the unlucky ones. I'd like my account reopened so I can get my photos and say goodbye properly to people at least, and maybe then I'll move on. It was too addictive for me.
