[ Pays no attention to Sanji's initial ramblings, then glances up at the pause and change in tone. A fight? Listens with only a frown, expecting to hear Sanji wiping the floor with whoever was stupid enough to bug him any second now. ] That's pathetic, shit-cook, fight harder. Where are you? ...Oi.

[ Silence, and a trickling of unease. ] ...Oi, answer when people're are talking to you, eyebrow!

[Youuu probably won't get an answer for a few minutes, at least. But eventually (after talking with Usopp) Nami's gonna hail you over the journals, Zoro. That's assuming she can't find you in the house at this point.]

Where are you?

[ In the meantime, Zoro's grabbed his swords and headed out. He's carrying his journal with him, a finger between the pages. He looks around briefly when he hears Nami's voice through it again, but doesn't stop moving. ]

By a bridge. Where're you?

I'm home.

[...and there's a faint pause, before she just sighs and tells him in utmost seriousness.]

You won't find him, Zoro.

[Her resignation and that of everyone else responding to the short burst from the cook have given him something of an idea why, but he returns more or less the same tone, but with a vein of 'pissed-off' running through it. His footsteps haven't slowed in the slightest, although all he knows is that he's heading for forest. (He's going the wrong way, but he doesn't know that, either.)]

Why not. Because he's not around to be found?

[(And thus Zoro was never seen again.) But she won't make jokes about him being lost this time.]

He'll be outside the barrier with the Malnosso. You can't get through it. Luffy's been trying for over a year.

[(He always wanders back!...Eventually.) Getting himself kidnapped and experimented on, he's gonna kick that shitty cook's ass. His pace picks up, and his response incorporates some elements of a snarl.] Yeah, people keep telling me that.

[She's not going to try and argue him out of this. The fastest way of getting him to understand is just to let him find out for himself. And hey, he wants to pick a fight with the barrier out there, maybe it'll let off some steam.

Pfft. She won't even tell him to be careful, because he's Zoro.]

Dinner's in an hour. I'll keep yours in the oven.
