Save Vala Mal Doran in the SG-1 Movies!

We've heard the news, and to say that we don't like it would be an understatement. Follow the link to the thread milena_d has started at GateWorld for a positive campaign to save one of our favorite characters.

SERIOUSLY! THEY ARE CRAZY.
...and not the good kind, either.

lol, the way you said that reminds me of the song "The Good Kind" by the Wreckers.

And I agree! They've always been on the side of questionably stupid with decisions like these, but this is a whole new level! HOW ON EARTH (er...) HOW IN THE GALAXY (er....) HOW IN TWO GALAXIES CAN THEY POSSIBLY DO THIS?!?!??!?! It doesn't make SENSE. *is now overcome with urge to spork them to death*

Now I'm gonna want to go listen to them for a while.
*goes to check music collection*

*hands over a spork*
I keep them on hand now, for dealing with fandom :D

I'm waiting to see the "why?" Maybe a dream but wouldn't it great CB isn't in it because of some other great commitment? Plus, they don't do D/V in the movies and they make Vala so stupid. I do look back at the Vala Mal Doran that stole a Whole Ship from them. hehe Fem Power!!!!

Well if it was CB's choice, then I'll mae myself be cool with it, but if it's what I'm afraid it is, then I'm totally pissed, lol.
Though you raise a good point, the characterization of Vala has been somewhat sketchy in the movies..

Is there a rumor going around that she's not going to be in the other movies? I must be slightly out of the loop because I haven't heard that before, or even that the SG-1 movie was offically going to happen (I know they wanted to, but the last I heard, only the SGA movie was set.)

Yep, there's definitely going to be a third SG-1 movie, but word is that it's going to be "classic" SG-1 rather than the new team..
*frown*
Why can't they all be there?

Interesting. SO its going to take place pre season 7?

Darn. That also says no Sam/Jack.

You know, I'm not sure how they're gonna work it. I don't think it's going to be pre season seven, but I do think it's supposed to be more Jack-centric. I'm not sure what that says for Sam/Jack, but I really hope we get at least something for them.

OMFG. I can't believe this is happening. I mean, WTF. First SGA's characters are sacrificed one by one, now VALA?! Who is the REASON SG-1 rocked in its last two seasons, despite the Ori crappiness?! They really WANT THE FANS TO HATE THEIR GUTS.

This has to be an experiment on how many times TATB can screw over fans and still keep them coming back for more. UGH.

Oh, Vala. *squishes*

Seriously! By the time it got done I was watching for Vala, because she was a breath of fresh air when the show was not only losing steam but immersed in a lame storyline that seemed to go on and on. And on. And then on some more, just in case we didn't get that the Ori were evil and very bad. Urgh.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED PTBs, I HATE YOUR GUTS.

There must be, somewhere. *roar*

It was stupid, though, because with the Goa'uld, we didn't have the gloom-and-doom 'omg, we're going to diiieeee' thing every frelling episode.

THANK YOU. It's not as if they hadn't told us just how bad the Ori were, and just how screwed they were if nothing changed. It just felt so very clunky and annoying, I miss the eps where they'd visit other planets just for the exploration and adventures. And I never quite saw the connection to all the Arthurian mythology.

You watch some shows where everyone is so invested in being true to the characters and really love and care about them...and then there's Stargate.

By "some shows", you wouldn't happen to be referring to CM would you?

But the Vala characterization in the SG-1 movies has been kinda sketchy, so maybe it's better that they aren't. Idk. *stabs writers*
