Hmm, interesting thoughts on Jane there. I admit, I wasn't fazed at all- it was something totally in character for him, God complex and all. His family was killed by someone he hasn't managed to catch yet- this woman lost a loved one and that man wasn't paying, so he manipulated circumstances to make sure he suffered just like the woman had suffered her loss. *shrugs
( ... )
See that's just it, it's very in character for him, I can't think of him doing anything else in a situation like that, it's just that the part of me that thinks "hai, real world" knows that it's a bad idea, no matter how much the rest of me thinks that it's probably what I'd do in the same situation. That's why it gets to me.
because according to the rules and structure of Mentalist!verse, Jane is infallible.
Heh. Noticed that. It seems like things work very differently in the Jane!verse. I suppose this is another suspension of disbelief moment xD
I guess what I'm saying is that within the context of the show, what he did is- if not acceptable- then justifiable. But if it were RL, I totally would not support his actions.
I hear that, there's a lot that tv gets away with that would never work in real life, and distinguishing that's definitely important. Also, LOL at your comment about CM. PS. That episode was like a JAG kids reunion. Mae Whitman and Hallee Hirsh? lol.
