New Year Resolutions

My 2011 New Year Resolutions:
1. Try to work out as much as possible/get healthy.
2. Make a budget and stick to it.
3. Return to nature.

My general feelings for 2011 is probably "Meh". I definitely had a lot of drama that I didn't appreciate such as my whole unemployment "ordeal". Relatively speaking though, 2011 wasn't bad at all. I found a combination of medications that make me feel like my old self. I joined a 24-hour gym that I love. My relationship with Paul is absolutely amazing, and probably the shining highlight of the year. I think it is safe to say that I am happy with my life. I find that I have hope for my future.

I thought my resolutions were weak last January and I still think they're weak. I did learn how to budget though, so I'm glad for that. I'm a budget WIZARD + no credit card debt. I guess I returned to nature during my camping trip-- it even included river kayaking, so I'm gonna scratch that one off the list. My work out goal was super cheap, so I guess I can just say yeah I did "as much as possible" even though it might not necessarily be true. Who's to say though, right?

MY 2012 NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS:
1. Remain dedicated to my paleo diet. Goodbye wheat!
2. Train big time at the gym and (hopefully) loose 20+ lbs.
3. Get into Vet school.

Whew, that is a tall order! I usually hate focusing on weight loss for resolutions, but I feel like I've let myself go. I have in years past worked out a lot and lost a lot of weight, but I am hoping that a life changing decision, such as changing my diet as well as working out, will give me the results I'm looking for. I'm not sure I will be accepted into veterinary school this year (for 2013), but here's hoping that I do. This resolution includes the application process, and hopefully if I can do things right (animal volunteer, good GRE scores, wonderful recommendation letters, etc) I will get accepted. I do realize that there is a very good chance that I won't be accepted, and if that is the case I won't be able to fulfill this resolution. Wish. Me. Luck.

new years resolutions, resolutions
