I came in just in time to watch the grand slam made by Kosenko and accepted it. I congratulated the White Sox on their accomplishment. Then I saw the guy that was given first base and the video that showed the ball clearly hit his bat and not his arm. that was the game right there when the umpire called that a hit batsman instead of a foul tip. the most important part for the umpire is that you would think the sound of a 95 mph fastball to a wooden bat would be different than to a forearm. thats the problem i have with the umpire.

Umpires make bad calls all the time, usually pretty consistently throughout the game, and almost never predominantly in one team's favor. Arguing the call is very rarely effective, especially if it's balls and strikes. It's not a perfect situation, but it's livable. And even being a hardcore Astros fan beyond what you'd expect, I just like when exciting things happen in baseball games, regardless of to which team.
