grant. i refused to go to sleep at a reasonable time last night because i could not put that book down. not even for the sake of my failing health (aah-choo!) would i neglect the ending. and gods, i heaved an enourmous, slightly wheezy, sigh of relief once it was over. my romantic streak cant stand historical romances- the author has much fewer liberties and cannot always promise a happy ending. but i was pleased beyond the proverbial punch by the last page, so thank you.
I stayed up until five o'clock in the morning reading that book. I had started earlier in the afternoon. And I was just waiting and shaking my head and cursing Lindsey Davis for not making Vespasian say the one thing that mattered... and then he says it!!! Ah, I cried, I'm not going to lie! Here's hoping no one reads this LiveJournal anymore!
aah, grant you're such a romantic...nobody ever cries at books anymore. except for me, and you apparently, hehe. we should start a club. except i really have only cried at sad endings, so does that count? i expect romances to have happy endings, so i get angry when they dont, not sad when they do!
