Operating Instructions by Anne Lamott. It's a journal that the author kept during the first year of her son's life. I thought it did a great job chronicling the intense highs and lows of having one's first baby -- how really awesome the good stuff can be, and how really challenging the tough stuff is. I <3 Anne Lamott. She has great books on writing (Bird by Bird) and faith (Traveling Mercies) as well.

It sounds like it's quite a handful, and I think you're entitled to complain about the difficult parts every now and then if you want to. It doesn't make you a bad parent or anything. I mean, name anything you absolutely love and are never in any way frustrated by.
