Lazyness is the Enemy of Updates
Well since my last update was just after the G and I had a planned a mountain of stuff to get through I suppose I should up date it all.
Well, after the torture of 3 night shifts, I dived headfirst into my 2 weeks off.
Monday brought the long overdue trip to salisbury to get the windowscreen on the car replaced. Hey, its only been cracked for 6 months, it doesn't seem that long but it happened just after I started the new job. It also included a failed attempt to get costume stuff for maelstrom in both salisbury and southampton.
Tuesday. Due to poor orgainsation on my part I didn't manage to pass the stuff from madczechfriend to clair_collins. so in order to get it out of the way and as a excuse to go up and see her and family, a road trip to see them occured. I picked up madczechfriend just after 10, hit the road and arrived at 12. After a few minor changes of plan, including dinner and a long froth with simon_d. We eventually left at about 8:45, a little later than planned, but still good.
The busyness of tuesday was nothing compaired to wednesday.
A previous conversation with charlieginger lead to the overall theam for the day, that of meeting in London for lunch. Having seen clair_collins the day before, we decided to meet up first, then meet charlieginger for food. It also turned out that kathbad had a meeting in london, and ocultado was there for business so a dinner plan evolved.
So met date one in embankment. After shopping in Covent Garden, Oxford street, and Regents Street. We hopped the tube to Camden to meet date two for more shopping and food. charlieginger then went to meet her B/F to view flats. Then back to Waterloo to leave clair_collins. Then leister square to meet kathbad. We went to the "Hagen Das Cafe". I whole heartedly recomend it. Ice cream cocktails and amazing ice cream creations are well worth it. Then ocultado arrived and a short walk to "The best chinese in the world". And food. Then the train back home allowed kathbad and I to have a long overdue catchup chat.
I score the day a 10. Although I didn't manage to buy the presents I went to get. I had the best company for doing it all day, without doubt. And who could ask for more than being surrounded by beautiful ladies and good friends???
