I don't read fanfiction that often, because it has to be really good for me to want to read it, but also because I don't like reading on the computer. Scrolling is a pain, and honestly if I'm going to fry my brain in front of a computer screen for hours, I'd rather be doing something with a little more visual interest. Reading is cool, but give me

This is awesome! I've never tried binding books before, what sort of materials do you use?

The technique I used is probably the simplest one I've found that makes books that actually look like real hardback books There's no sewing the pages or anything like that. It's awesome! All you need:

Fabric for the cover
A little bit of fabric to glue the pages to
Cardboard for the cover
Paper for pages
decorative paper for the inside cover
White Glue
Hot Glue

Of course you'll need things like scissors and knives and assorted other junk, but that list is what goes into the book.

Is there anything you can't do, o crafty one?

Fanfic hurts me in my belly a lot of the time. THough I totally give props to the people out there with the balls to post what they write.

I maybe... kinda... sorta... started working some some fanfic of my own, that has now evolved into something much bigger than what it started out to be. But I never really show it to anyone other than my best friend. It maybe is all about The Joker. *red cheeked*

Yeah most of the stuff I've come across is just crap. I used to go out specifically looking for really, really, REALLY bad ones because they were just so hilarious to read. Now I've moved on to Twilight. HAHA. What I like about Doctor Who Season 4 is it feels almost good enough to be put on TV - it's not an excuse to promote a romantic relationship (though there is a little bit of that, but it's very subtle and is never placed above the plot and the other objectives of the story), and it's not a character study or some other narrative that may be nice but would never actually make it on television or into another Whoniverse story.

Hee, I'm all for writing it! I used to do some Harry Potter stuff back in the day, but it was mostly drabbles and other short things with no plot, because I'm not good at plot. I still feel like I want to write more, but I can't think of a good concept. Boo.
