We are so sorry for the lose of 'Terry' he was a great friend he did a lot of pictures he did our wedding pictures and we will have those to remember him by he will be missed as he leaves us,Hoes now in gods arms we will miss you Terry Mathews..Carrie and joey
I just found your entry after hearing of Terry's passing. Im so saddened for his passing. I will share this with some other people who knew him if its ok.
Since I can't access LJ from work and have very little internet access at home, and my LJ is practically innactive, it's been months since I last logged in. This morning I was thinking about writing on my LJ to speak about my recent engagement with political activism and human rights. I thought of writing on LJ because he was basically the only active member on my friends list and I thought he would like to read about it.
Then this. I feel so sad because he was such a smart, funny and generous man, a great friend, an excellent human being. I still have a happy holidays card he sent me once - he signed "Terry Mathews - [_|_]". He is gonna be missed, because people like him are so very rare... and so very needed.
I've been at a loss for what to say too. Since I'm geographically close enough to help a bit, I booked a photographer for the memorial service (a gallery will be up soon afterward for people that couldn't attend) and I'll be cooking at base camp when his ashes are taken up into the mountains in August by an impressive group of fellow mountaineers.
I exchanged texts with him the day before he passed away. It's surreal.
I believe that his best friends, who he asked to take care of things after his passing, are caring for the cats. They live in the same neighborhood so I think the cats only had a minimal distance to move.
I thought you were on someone's list to notify and just... didn't know. I'm sorry.
I know it's been years since we last saw one another, but if you want my cell phone number, drop me an e-mail (oddharmonic at gmail.com) and I'll send it your way.

I was talking to him in my journal comments on the 10th about a game we both liked, Shining Force 3. I can't believe that he's gone.
I'd like to know that his cats are being cared for, since he thought a lot of them. Do you know who's taking care of them?
