Cool as the other side of the pillow

A few random things since I haven't updated in a while...

- One good thing about working with kids is that I make out like bandit at the end of the school year. Yay, gift cards!

- I've been trying to use this pony maker to recreate ponies from my childhood in the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic style (I've been feeling nostalgic, okay?). I ( Read more... )

Wow, that's pretty tempting. Ordering things online tends to make me nervous, especially when it's something I know very little about, but that's something I just need to get over. I think I'll take those specs to Best Buy and see if they have anything equivalent (I notice the little brothers in the CyberpowerPC family are listed as online orders at their site...which doesn't help my desperate need to be placated in person by salespeople should something go awry, but it's something). If they can't find anything Newegg.ca may very well get my dollar.

Here I was thinking I was going to have to spend significantly more than that to get something that wouldn't be rendered obsolete in a year and a half. Thank you!

I too saw both of those films and frankly, I fail to understand people who say XFC is the best XMen film ever. It felt too chaotic, some plot points were idiotic and frankly, the final battle didn't feel important.
GL on the other hand - completly ridiculous and boring but Ryan Raynolds is dreamy :D

I was pretty 'meh' on XFC. I don't really see what makes it stand out amongst all the other superhero films in the last couple of years...aside from team dynamics (which were kind of lacking, only Xavier and Magneto seemed genuinely close).

Ryan Raynolds is dreamy :D

Yes. Yes he is. I was quite disappointed by the lack of blatant ass shots. Ryan is wonderful and the GLs are known for it, so where was the necessary focus on cute posteriors?

Good luck with getting your license :D

My PC is 4-years-old but TF2 runs fine, you don't need a gaming computer to play it, its requirement are really quite low :)

Thanks!

Oh, I know I could probably run it, that is if I clear some space for it, but I'm trying to look forward a little bit too. There's a lot of cool PC games out there I want to try, and I'm hoping the controls will help me get over my 'issues' with first person perspective (I know it's supposed to help with the accuracy, doubt it it will do anything about the nausea I feel when a camera is swinging wildly...).

I'm getting cold feet about such a major purchase though, so I may try to run Team Fortress on this thing eventually.

If you ever decide to play the game, I recommend checking out the comics too. A couple of them explain a bit of backstory.

Check the movies too, their pages also have the profiles of the characters :)

Aaaaaaand, the responses! Some of them are pretty funny ^^

Spy's lines are my favourite, because he is supposed to be a "charming gentleman rogue" and then says things like a 12-year-old and snorts like a pig XD

Can you tell I get excited when I find a new Fandom?
