I've got to say, I'm really impressed with Tiger & Bunny. It's well animated, well paced and has a lot of fun characters. Plus I love superheroes and I miss watching anime, so that worked out well. The yaoi is good, no denying (And again, no one is underage! Well, except Origami Cyclone, but I don't count him). As far as the anime/superhero hybrid goes...if it helps, there are definitely more anime sensibilities to it than comic book ones. Heck, even their costumes don't look a thing like superhero costumes from any era. You could argue Tiger's idealism seems very silver age, but it could just as easily be shonen hero fare.
Never heard of Angel Beats (searching wikipedia right now). I just finished Puella Magi Madoka Magica. That was...interesting!

And that sounds interesting. I've got a bit of a backlog (been meaning to watch Escaflowne and possibly some other things) I'll probably check it out when I'm done all that depending on how long it gets. xD
Angel Beats is reaaalllyy good. It's about a bunch of teenagers who go to live in this limbo after they've died which basically looks like a school. And they have to battle this girl named Angel or they disappear. It's basically about who they are, why they died, and so forth. It starts off really comedic, but it gets very dark and touching at times.
I think Alex especially might like it, but I'm not sure.
