[for Glenn]

It had only been a few days since she'd seen Glenn, but sometimes a few days was enough. A few days was when she would seek him out, for no other reason than she liked spending time with him. She had other things to talk to him about today, things she wasn't sure he'd want to hear. But things that she needed to say. And soon ( Read more... )

Glenn had begun to withdraw more and more. The hallucinations were getting worse, and he wasn't sure what it all meant besides the fact he was losing his mind. He peeked outside and found it was Anya at his door, and he felt terrible all over again for especially trying to stay away from her. He did not wish to see him in such a state.

"A picnic?" he inquired, looking down at the basket. She put so much effort into it, he couldn't possibly say no, and stepped outside into the sunshine. He tried not to look too distracted. "Of course. I thank ye for inviting me, m'lady."

Her stomach jumped when she saw him, and again she wondered if she was doing the right thing. Glenn had been one of her first friends on the island, and she cared about him more than she'd expected to care about anyone again really. But Xander...

Either way, Glenn was her friend, and she wanted to see him. To tell him that she did need him, and to make sure he was alright. "We could just eat here? If you didn't want to go anywhere."

"There is a grassy spot just behind the hut," he suggested, offering her a smile. "Here, allow me to carry the basket."

He stooped down and picked it up, the motioned for her to go first.

Anya led to the space at the back of the hut, trying her best not to fidget. She didn't do very well, but she managed, just.

She didn't manage for long though, needing to talk before they'd even gotten any food out of the basket. Before Glenn had even put the basket down. She wasn't very good at keeping things in.
