Specifically, much of it was divorce mediation training, but not all; certainly my certificate from Cornell's Industrial and Labor Relation's school in Alternative Dispute Resolution was not focused at all on divorce, but rather business and other kinds of mediation. I can see you as a mediator. You're calm (when you need to be) and very sane. Would you recuse yourself from disputes at your own church?
Would you be interested in disputes at institutions of other religions? (I'd love to see anybody tangle with a dispute at a synagogue. You know that old joke? If you get two Jews together, you get three opinions. It's so very true. I'm reading excerpts from the Talmud in Jewish Studies class. Informed debate is regarded as one of the ways to keep the religion vibrant. But I digress....)
