I've done it dozens of times!") But this time was different, in that I kept going for seven months. I felt and saw a difference and I liked it. My back ( Read more... )

OK, I've been thinking about this, and trying to be honest with myself.

On weekdays we have smoothies made with spinach, soy milk, bananas and frozen berries for breakfast. On Saturday, we have eggs and toast, sometimes with some cheese in the eggs. Rarely, breakfast meat, but only once a month or so. Sunday I eat a piece of toast before church. Coffee every day, one cup.

No morning snacks.

Lunch (for me) is normally a salad with greens, raw veges, nuts and sometimes edemame or chickpeas. I do have dressing on it, but I don't drown it. Glass of water, cup of coffee. Sometimes I have sushi instead of salad. VERY rarely a sandwich, but that's maybe once a month. Lunch on Sunday is, admittedly, Of The Devil. Eggs and bacon, or sometimes French toastWeekday afternoon snack runs to bad stuff, but not much. One cookie, OR 5 Hershey's kisses, etc ( ... )

Don't know if counting calories would be of any interest to you, but I've found it the only way to track what I'm eating and sustain my desired weight.

x_h00ine turned me onto Calorie King. You enter foods and amounts and it counts the calories. It's got a huge database of foods; it also lets you save custom meals.
