Lots of Life Changes

Well, for those of you who haven't heard, I'm going through a lot of changes right now in both my personal and professional lives. I've given notice at my job at the hospital, where I have worked in the past year as a Critical Care nurse recovering open heart surgeries, and have signed up for a travel nursing company ( Read more... )

No doubt, though then we'd end up on strike every ten minutes because they didn't put double ply toilet paper in the can. There's no way to win.

oh well, all the nurses are protected by a union up here and last time there was a strike is probably in 1997. Unions aren't bad. Some people just want to make them look bad so you feel like there's nothing you can do and therefore you get to be exploited even more. Then again, maybe you want to be exploited? :P

Ha ha, you can exploit me anytime you want. I'm not referring to the concept of unions per se, just the bloated ones we have here in the US that seem to be a whole lot more about their filling their own pockets than taking care of their members. That's one of the reasons why GM is in so much trouble.. when you pay unskilled laborers $25+ an hour, you're going to run yourself out of business. Sigh.. it sucks, and there's no easy answer.
